The Dansko Company first hit the European comfort scene in 1991. The founders a husband and wife team Mary Cabot and Peter Kjellerup, had discovered the much adored Danish clogs in a tiny shop in Denmark and they flipped over the comfort and durability. Within a few short years Dansko footwear was distributed to over 3500 retail locations. The first stapled clog collection including the famed “Professional” and “Sonja” designs launched a new generation of European comfort. The many comfort features that Dansko is known for continues to evolve. By updating and adding new soles and designs, Dansko has been able to keep up with the fashions women want while staying true to the comfort that has made them such a successful company. |
